Older John Deere 30, 40 and 50 Series had early versions of WeighToolBox, originally to carry additional fuel on 30 series for a colleague, Larry, back in 1978 when the tanks were not quite big enough for a days work, and then more were made for other colleagues at Sutton Bonington, for Trev, and George, fitted to different makes, CaseIH, MF, Zetor, etc.
Before John Deere 'big pack' weights became available in the UK, we had a simple frame that was lifted with the appropriate number of 45kg weights, onto a John Deere base weight, and locked in place. This avoided criticism by some HSE inspectors, that JD and other tractor weights were too heavy to 'lift' manually on farm, or site. The current Big Pack, or concrete filled weights are fine, but don't allow drivers to put enough weight on the front of the tractor for acting as a sufficient counterbalance to the load on the rear three point linkage, without compromising overall machine weight and ground pressure. WeighToolBox allows the user to vary weight, from 350kg, to in excess of 2000kg if required, yet still carry tools and wearing parts safely, outside the cab.

WeighToolBox can be fitted to the Base weight of the tractor. We recommend that if this attachment method is used, the max. combined weight should not exceed that of a John Deere big pack weight ( full pack) 900-1250 KG.

Constructed from 25mm 10, and 4 mm plate, fully welded and power coated for a durable finish.
The WeighTool box weighs 350KG. The storage box is 800mm x 500mm x 500mm plus weight carrying wings 400mm each side.
Up to 18 x 45KG John Deere type wafer weights (9 each side of the box)
If more weight is required, a base weight can be mounted to the front of the box. ( eg. 18 JD wafer weights + the weight of the box, plus base weight = 1250KG) Other manufacturers weights can be used using a modified rack on the carrying wings.
